Stephanie Kula, MAc, LAc

​

Stephanie earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL. Her clinical training started in 1999 at The Rothfeld Center for Integrative Medicine where she worked closely with her mentor Glenn Rothfeld, MD as a medical assistant, IV therapist and acupuncturist.

Stephanie is board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. She is certified by The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) in the use of auricular acupuncture for the treatment of behavioral health issues such as addictions, mental health conditions, and disaster & emotional trauma. She also holds certification in Contemporary Cupping Methods by the International Cupping Therapy Association and in Cosmetic Acupuncture.

Her passion and commitment to creating a healthier community led Stephanie to open North Shore Community Acupuncture where she offers effective and affordable care. While working with her clients, Stephanie focuses on the underlying imbalance and focuses on bringing the body, mind, spirit and emotions back into balance. She works with individuals to improve their quality of life and address the root cause, on a constitutional level.

Stephanie is a trained Feng Shui consultant by the International Feng Shui School. Stephanie uses her in depth knowledge of Traditional Five Element theory to create and stimulate change, harmony and balance within a home or office. In addition to Feng Shui she holds certification in Land Clearing. Her approach stems from her training with internationally recognized  Feng Shui Consultants, Amanda Sophia and Alex Stark.

Beth DeBari, MAOM, LAc

Beth is board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. She earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA. She is proficient in Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture and has a thorough understanding of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

As an acupuncturist and herbalist Beth’s goal is to help her patients achieve balance and overall well-being. She has been immersed in alternative medicine since 2006 when she began training to become a Muscular Therapist at the Muscular Therapy Institute (MTI) in Watertown.

​

Beth is a Level I Aroma Acupoint Therapist. Aroma Acupoint Therapy is a gentle, safe and profoundly effective treatment modality that uses pure essential oils. Treatments involve the use of essential oils on specific body points. The combination of essential oils and acupuncture points trigger energetic changes in the individual to bring the body back to a state of balance. Beth merges her knowledge of acupuncture with the use of therapeutic grade essential oils to stimulate acupuncture points with or without needles.

In her acupuncture practice, Beth’s aim is to affect the body at a deep level with special interest in mental-emotional issues, digestive issues, sleep and energy disorders, improving immune functioning, OB/Gyn issues in addition to overall well being.

Sophie Barkan, MAc, LAc

​

Sophie is a board-certified licensed Acupuncturist. She has a private practice in Arlington MA where she treats patients for general well-being, pain symptoms, stress management and oncology acupuncture and will be expanding her practice at NSCA to offer both private and community acupuncture. She received her Master’s in Acupuncture from the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida.

​

Sophie is dedicated to helping her patients find balance between their physical, mental, and emotional selves. She believes that treatment is most effective when it uncovers the underlying roots of illness and aims to restore balance at the core of each person. Through a constitutional Chinese Medicine lens, the body is understood to be a complex ecosystem where true healing happens on the level of the mind, the body, and the spirit together.

Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, Sophie attended Northeastern University where she was a full scholarship, three-time All-American rower. As a lifelong athlete Sophie deeply understands the importance of the mind/ body connection and uses constitutional acupuncture to help her patients fully appreciate and inhabit their own bodies.

​

Sophie is currently continuing her education in Advanced Oncology Acupuncture, healing with the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, and Functional Nutrition with Josh Gitalis.
