Stephanie Kula, MAc, LAc

Stephanie earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL. Her clinical training started in 1999 at The Rothfeld Center for Integrative Medicine where she worked closely with her mentor Glenn Rothfeld, MD as a medical assistant, IV therapist and acupuncturist.

Stephanie is board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. She is certified by The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) in the use of auricular acupuncture for the treatment of behavioral health issues such as addictions, mental health conditions, and disaster & emotional trauma. She also holds certification in Contemporary Cupping Methods by the International Cupping Therapy Association and in Cosmetic Acupuncture: Face, Neck and Abdominal Protocols.

Her passion and commitment to creating a healthier community led Stephanie to open North Shore Community Acupuncture in Salem where she offers effective and affordable care. The clinic started in a small room in June 2011 at Green Tea Yoga in Salem, MA. In August 2012 NSCA moved into a larger space next door to the yoga studio.

While working with her clients, Stephanie focuses on the underlying imbalance and focuses on bringing the body, mind, spirit and emotions back into balance. She works with individuals to improve their quality of life and to help them attain their healthcare goals. She brings compassion and life experience to all of her treatments and helps to empower her patients as they are going through the healing process.

Beth DeBari, MAc, LAc

Beth DeBari, MAc, LAc

Beth is board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. She is proficient in Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture and has a thorough understanding of Chinese Herbal Medicine. As an acupuncturist and herbalist her goal with patients is to help them achieve balance and overall well-being.

Beth earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA. She has been immersed in alternative medicine since 2006 when she began training to become a Muscular Therapist at the Muscular Therapy Institute (MTI) in Watertown. Her combined Muscular Therapy and Oriental Medicine studies have left her with a broad understanding of the body’s musculoskeletal system and its physiological response to emotional, physical and mental stressors.

Elissa Oppenheim, MAc, LAc

Elissa Oppenheim, MAc, LAc

Elissa is a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist certified by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.  She received her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. Elissa has a strong background in community style acupuncture and is dedicated to making acupuncture affordable.

Elissa especially enjoys treating digestive disorders, emotional imbalances and substance abuse recovery.  Her primary passion, however, is meeting each patient where they are and working together to improve overall well-being. Embodying a holistic approach to health, Elissa’s treatments may include dietary therapy and/or Chinese Herbal medicine. Additionally, she is fluent in Spanish.

Henry Hom, MAc, LAc

Henry is board certified by the NCCAOM and holds acupuncture licenses from the Massachusetts and California medical boards. He earned a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA and holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA.

Henry has been practicing acupuncture since the 1990s. He has also maintained a long career in western medicine as an acute care respiratory therapist at UCSF-San Francisco General Hospital. He originally trained at New York University Medical Center School of Respiratory Therapy and also completed a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at Queens College, City University of New York.

Through the power of acupuncture, Henry aims to help clients achieve balance and wellness by using traditional treatment and diagnostic tools that he has learned from many masters along the way. He employs several traditional practice techniques, including Master Tung’s acupuncture method, auricular acupuncture and Dr. Tan’s balance method, among others. While Henry uses traditional treatment and diagnostics, he also uses digital diagnostic methods called the AcuGraph®.

Henry uses a digital diagnostic method called AcuGraph®. The AcuGraph is professional acupuncture meridian assessment system based on electronic technology and advanced treatment protocols. The AcuGraph® provides an effective, reliable, and accurate acupuncture meridian assessment while working with specific acupuncture points and registering them into the AcuGraph computer system.
